£119m-rated prodigy told to make ‘decision’ amid Man Utd transfer speculation

AC Milan boss Vincenzo Montella has urged Gianluigi Donnarumma to commit to the club amid speculation Manchester United are interested in signing the goalkeeper.

Donnarumma, 18, has been a revelation for Milan since breaking into the first-team back in 2015 but has been consistently linked with a move away from the San Siro in recent months.

Reports suggest the teenage shot-stopper has told friends he will be joining an English club in the summer transfer window, with the Red Devils on the hunt for David De Gea’s long-term replacement at Old Trafford.

The £119m-rated Italy international is currently tied into a deal at Milan until the summer of 2018 but is yet to agree to a new contract with the Serie A giants and the youngster’s manager has sent him a message.

‘The club are making enormous efforts to ensure his outstanding quality is recognised,’ Montella told Mediaset.

‘I like him like a son, but now he needs to make a decision and realise what he wants to do as a grown up.

‘But he must do this with the utmost serenity because the club are doing all they can to keep hold of him.’
