Wayne Rooney is considering seeing out the last year of his contract at Manchester United, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
The 31-year-old has one year left on his current £250,000-per-week deal with an option for a further year, but was widely expected to bring his 13-year tenure at Old Trafford to an end this summer.

The forward’s diminished playing time under Jose Mourinho has seen him fall down the pecking order at international level, too, and he was dropped for England’s upcoming fixtures with Scotland and France.
United’s record scorer is thought to favour a move to boyhood club Everton but the Goodison club’s wage structure could scupper any potential move.
While clubs from the Chinese Super League would be able to match the former England captain’s wage expectations, the thought of uprooting his family is said to not appeal to Rooney.
The United club captain will confirm his decision once he returns from a family holiday, adds the report.
