Manchester United are eyeing a £25m bid for Burnley centre-back Michael Keane.
The 23-year old who made just one Premier League appearance during his four years at Old Trafford has impressed this season and as a result, received his first England call-up earlier this season.
Keane left Manchester United in 2014 and despite suffering relegation in his first season at Burnley, played a crucial part in their promotion to the Premier League in 2015/2016.
However, according to the Sun, Man United are considering swooping a £25m swoop for Keane, who caught the eye during Burnley’s goalless draw at Old Trafford in October.
Jose Mourinho’s need for a centre-back has increased in recent weeks after injuries to first-choice duo Chris Smalling and Eric Bailey. Furthermore, the report adds that Burnley’s no.5 is seen as having the potential to solve the Red Devils defensive problems.
Keane’s Burnley travel to West Bromwich Albion on Monday night knowing a victory will move them up to ninth, just two points behind Manchester United.
