£60m Creative No.10 Speaks About His Future Amid Man Utd Interest

MANCHESTER UNITED and Chelsea target James Rodriguez has no plans to leave Real Madrid next month.

The Colombia international has fallen down the pecking order since Zinedine Zidane’s arrival as manager in January.

Rodriguez, signed for £60million after the 2014 World Cup, has scored just twice so far this season.

His difficulties at the Santiago Bernabeu has led to talk that he could be about to make the switch to the Premier League.

However, Rodriguez remains happy in the Spanish capital despite struggling to make his mark.

“When you want to play at a club like Real Madrid, you always have to know that it’s a team that wants to win titles, and is used to winning titles,” he told Spanish newspaper Marca.

“I am happy here. I hope I can play the final (Club World Cup) and add yet another title. I hope to continue doing good things.”

It’s widely believed that Manchester United want Rodriguez to bolster their frontline.

They view the midfielder as a long term replacement for Wayne Rooney, who has found the net just three times so far.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are eager to sign the Real Madrid ace as a replacement for Oscar.

Oscar agreed a £52m move to Shanghai SIPG earlier this week – leaving Antonio Conte with a transfer dilemma.
