£70m: Major update on Manchester United’s move for European No.21
Manchester United are continuing to negotiate with Real Madrid over the transfer of Alvaro Morata having already agreed personal terms with him.
Fabrizio Romana, a member of Gianluca di Marzio’s staff, has once again reiterated that an agreement has been reached between Man United and Morata but Real Madrid are standing firm on their price demands.
Man Utd are still in talks with Real Madrid for Morata. And trying to convince F. Perez to sell him. Agreement reached with Álvaro. 🇪🇸 #MUFC

Having reportedly had bids of £52.4m and £60m rejected by Madrid as they intend to hold out for a fee above £70m. United clearly have no intention of paying that and are negotiating as strongly as they can but a middle ground may have to be found if Jose Mourinho wants to sign his former striker Morata.
The Cristiano Ronaldo rumours have certainly delayed proper progress with the Morata deal and the David de Gea situation complicated it as well but if terms have indeed been agreed, as has been reported in so many different places, then United just need to find that sweet number which Madrid agree with.
It might be a few extra million but in the grand scheme of things what is better – keeping a few extra quid in the bank or signing a 24-year-old striker who could help solve our goalscoring problems next year?
