Arsenal and Man United Set to Lock Horns Over Transfer of £40m Serie A Star

Arsenal and Manchester United are tracking Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj, according to reports in Italy.

The full-back was the subject of strong interest last summer when both Atletico Madrid and Barcelona tried to lure him to Spain.

Arsenal were also said to be chasing the right-back then, and they have continued to monitor him over the course of this season.

The Gunners, according to GazzaMercato, have now been joined in their pursuit by Manchester United with both clubs hot on Hysaj’s heels ahead of the summer transfer window.

The English sides are in the market for full-backs and they have identified the Albanian as an ideal addition.

However he is unlikely to come cheap, with some reports stating Napoli may ask for as much as £40m for the 23-year-old.
