Attacker’s shock Man Utd five-a-side team: Zlatan Out, Rashford In
JESSE LINGARD has snubbed Zlatan Ibrahimovic from his Manchester United five-a-side dream team.
Jesse Lingard was asked to make his dream Manchester United five-a-side team from the Red Devil’s current squad.
The 24-year-old’s picks included David De Gea and Paul Pogba – as expected.
But there was one notable absentee from Lingard’s team – United’s top goalscorer this season Zlatan Ibahimovic.
“At the back, I’d pick Daley [Blind],” Lingard told FourFourTwo magazine.
“I think you need a player at the back who is going to be composed and assured on the ball.
“Midfielder… I’d say Pogba. You need that bit of flair in midfield.
“I’ll say Ander [Herrera] as well, he’s got a bit of bite to him and you need that energy and aggression.
“Marcus Rashford up front. He’s got the skills up top to beat a player and score. In goal, obviously David De Gea.”
Besides Ibrahimovic, Lingard also overlooked club captain Wayne Rooney and midfield maestro Juan Mata.
