Manchester United youngster Angel Gomes is wanted by Spanish giants Barcelona, according to Manchester Evening News.
The 16-year-old has alerted scouts from the reigning La Liga champions following excellent displays for club and country so far this season.
Last month Gomes came off the bench for the academy side to score a hat-trick versus Everton before his 16th birthday. This was one of a number of outstanding performances this season that has got people talking about the teenager.
Angel Gomes has played for England at schoolboy level as well as the England under-17s. His Portuguese father, Gil, was a professional footballer. His son is also eligible to play for Portugal and Angola at senior international level.
The youngster is a very skillful playmaker. How much truth there is to these rumours remains to be seen but few teenagers would reject the opportunity to move to Barcelona if given the chance.
