Inter Milan manager Luciano Spalletti all but confirmed Manchester United‘s interest in Ivan Perisic.
The Croatian winger has been regularly linked with a move to Old Trafford over this summer and reports over recent days have a £40million transfer agreed between the two clubs.
There’s usually no smoke without fire when it comes to incessant transfer stories like these and Perisic’s manager has done nothing to cool talk of his exit during the summer window.
Spalletti was asked about Perisic this morning and although he didn’t speak for long about the Croatian, he said enough to get United fans excited:
Spalletti, per calciomercato.com, said: “Perisic? You know everything, it’s all out in the daylight.”
So United’s interest is genuine and the Inter boss has done nothing but fuel talk surrounding Perisic’s future.
He’s made 79 appearances for Inter since signing from Wolfsburg two years ago and is a regular top performer for Croatia in qualifiers and major tournaments.
If Perisic does sign, Jose Mourinho will be hoping it’s done soon so he can join up with United during their pre-season tour of the United States.
The Red Devils have been in America for just over a week and played their first pre-season friendly against LA Galaxy on Saturday, winning 5-2 with new signings Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku getting game time.
