Manchester United playmaker Adnan Januzaj is on the verge of becoming a Real Sociedad player, according to Diario Vasco.
The Spanish newspaper claims that sources close to the 22-year-old have revealed that the Belgian’s representatives have reached an agreement with the La Liga side and within the next couple of hours, the Manchester club will draw up the paperwork to complete the deal.
The report claims that Sociedad have been in constant communication with United over a potential transfer for the youngster since the beginning of the year, and United boss Jose Mourinho is happy to do business with the Basque outfit as they promised to fulfil their promises from the initial conversations.
It is reported that several European clubs such as Marseille, Roma, Lyon and Monaco have contacted the Manchester club about the possibility of signing the Belgian in the past few days.
However, it is said that United left the decision to the player himself and Januzaj was convinced that the La Liga side is the perfect club for him to further develop his footballing career.
The Belgian was left out of United’s official pre-season squad to travel out to the United States last weekend and he is now likely to end his six-year stay at Old Trafford.
Januzaj made a total of 63 appearances for the club, contributing with five goals and six assists in all competitions.
