JUVENTUS want AC Milan star Mattia De Sciglio to replace Manchester United bound Patrice Evra, according to reports.
Italian news outlet TuttoSport claim Evra’s return to Old Trafford is imminent and De Sciglio is Juve’s top target to replace the Frenchman.
The 35-year-old spent eight successful years in the Premier League and his experience could help aid Luke Shaw’s development.
However, Manchester United haven’t formally sealed the deal and could still miss out on their former star.
Evra‘s agent Federico Pastorello responded to reports that his client is set to leave Juventus this month, admitting he’ll “see what happens” in the next few days.
“It’s not certain he will leave Juventus,” Pastorello told Juvenews.eu (via Manchester Evening News). “We’ll see what happens over the next few days.”
Their Prem rivals, West Ham, and La Liga heavyweights Valencia have also been linked with moves for Evra.
De Sciglio, 24, is a key player in Milan’s youthful side and will be viewed as a long-term solution at full-back by Juve bigwigs.
The talented defender can be deployed on either flank and has already made 30 appearances for the Italian national side.
He made his debut for Milan under Massimo Allegri back in 2011.
De Sciglio is also well known by Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.
He played three times at Euro 2016 under the charismatic Stamford Bridge chief.
