Manchester United star Henrikh Mkhitaryan has insisted his team are unconcerned about their nine-match winning streak coming to an end against Liverpool on Sunday as the Red Devils are aiming to start another run by beating Stoke City on Saturday.
Jose Mourinho’s team avoided defeat at Old Trafford against Liverpool as Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored an equaliser for his side in the 84th minute and rescued a point.
A first half penalty gave Jurgen Klopp’s men the lead, but they were not able to defend it for all 90 minutes.
Mkhitaryan, who missed a chance to score for his side in the first half, said that the draw has not affected their confidence and stressed that his team plan to begin another winning run.
“For sure, why not?”, Mkhitaryan told MUTV, stressing the side will aim to start another winning run.
“We have to win, try to win the next game.
“We are not looking for records, we are doing our best to be in the top four and to do that you have to win games”, added the 27-year-old.
“Do not think about records because one day they will break.
“We are just trying to do our job by winning every game.”
The winger, who arrived at Old Trafford in the summer, has thus far scored three goals in addition to providing three assists in 17 appearances in all competitions for Manchester United.
Mourinho’s men are currently placed sixth in the Premier League table and have 40 points from 21 games.
