ANTHONY MARTIAL has named his debut goal against Liverpool as his favourite Manchester United moment.
Martial signed for Manchester United from Monaco for £36million on deadline day in 2015.
The youngster was immediately branded a waste of money given few had heard of the French wonderkid.
He began life at Old Trafford on the bench against Liverpool with then-manager Louis van Gaal wary of throwing him into the spotlight.
However, the Dutchman then introduced him in the second half – to devastating effect.
Martial scored a terrific solo goal to help United beat their fierce rivals 3-1 at Old Trafford.
And the France international believes it is the standout moment of his United career so far.
“It has to be the one against Liverpool on my United debut,” he told club programme United Review when asked what his greatest goal was.
“Hopefully, I can score against them again.”
Martial also named his two footballing heroes growing up.
“Ronaldo, the Brazilian one, and Ronaldinho,” he added.
