Manchester United have made an approach to sign Joshua Kimmich ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports in Germany.
Kimmich has made 72 appearances for Bayern Munich since completing a move from Leipzig back in 2015 but the 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months.
Germany outlet Kicker suggest both United and ‘noisy neighbours’ Manchester City have made enquiries for the highly-rated Bayern youngster.
Kimmich, who is able to operate aT full-back or in midfield, has fast become one of the most sought after players on the continent after bursting onto the scene under Pep Guardiola at the Allianz Arena.
It’s understood two unknown clubs from Spain have also made approaches over Kimmich with potential deals in mind.
Guardiola’s close relationship with Kimmich may aid City in landing the Germany international ahead of their bitter rivals.
