Manchester United have shown interest in signing both Nemanja Matic and Willian from Chelsea this summer, according to reports.
The Manchester Evening News is reporting that the Red Devils are interested in landing both midfielders this summer but that they accept it will be difficult to convince Chelsea to sell to a direct Premier League rival.
The same story claims that the signing of Matic is more “achievable” than Tottenham midfielder Eric Dier, who Manchester United are also said to be keeping tabs on.
The report says Manchester United are also keen on Willian but that they may end up bringing Croatia winger Ivan Perisic to the club instead.
The article also explains that Jose Mourinho favours bringing in proven Premier League talent this summer rather than players from abroad.
Manchester United have been linked with a host of different players over the last few weeks but the Red Devils have thus far only confirmed the signing of defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica.
The Red Devils are preparing for a return to the Champions League next season after they won the Europa League last term.
