Manchester United are lining up a fresh transfer offer for Benfica defender Victor Lindelof, according to reports in Portugal.
Lindelof has made 52 appearances for Benfica since breaking into the first-team back in 2013 but the 22-year-old was heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford in the January.
It’s understood the Red Devils made a last-ditch attempt to land the Sweden international in the final hours of the transfer window but Benfica fended off Jose Mourinho’s advances.
However, A Bola suggest United are set to launch a new £38million bid for Lindelof in the summer transfer window.
Lindelof signed a new contract at Benfica last month and it’s believed the Portuguese club are desperate to keep hold of the highly-rated centre-back ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
The versatile star, who is also able to operate at right-back, agreed to a deal which expires in the summer of 2021
Chelsea were also expressing an interest in Lindelof before the January transfer window closed.
