Jose Mourinho Snubs Chance of £58m Striker’s January Transfer

Manchester United are not planning to send Anthony Martial out on loan in January amid reports of interest from La Liga.

Martial has struggled to secure regular game time at Old Trafford this season under Jose Mourinho and his representatives have reportedly been trying to push through a temporary move away in January.

The £58 million forward managed 31 Premier League appearances and 11 goals last season under Louis van Gaal but this term he has started just nine times, with four further outings from the bench.

Spanish side Sevilla have been credited with an interest and Martial could be an option for a number of clubs if United were open to loan bids, but it seems as if Mourinho wants to keep the forward in his ranks.

The 21-year-old was left out of the squad for the draw at Stoke last time out but could be recalled for the EFL Cup semi-final at Hull on Thursday.

United won the first-leg 2-0 and punters may wish to use their free bet to back Mourinho’s men to secure a spot in the final with a victory at the KCOM Stadium.
