Manchester United scouts have advised manager Jose Mourinho to make a transfer move for Chelsea and Liverpool target Niklas Sule this January.
The Red Devils are known to be on the hunt for a top class central defender in the next transfer window, after an unconvincing start to the season and some injury problems at the back.
United look set to give Mourinho the funds to ‘spend aggressively’ this winter, and Sule looks just the kind of player they need to shore up their defence.
The 21-year-old who is rated at around £25m by Hoffenheim , was described as a diamond by the club general manager Alexander Rosen. He has been part of Die Kraichgauer’s first-team since 2013 and is already a full Germany international after a flying start to his career.
Jose Mourinho will be looking to bolster his defensive options in the New Year, with Eric Bailly set for international duty at the African Cup of Nations while Chris Smalling is often struggling due to injury.
Chelsea and Liverpool are known to be after him as they also eye defensive additions this January, but the Daily Record claim United have now been advised to try and pip their rivals to this potential signing.
