Journo ‘convinced’: Man Utd will sign Wolrd-class No.11 this summer

Manchester United will definitely sign Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale this summer, according to Barry Glendenning.

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid over the past week after it emerged the 32-year-old wants to leave the Spanish capital.

Naturally, Manchester United have been touted as a potential destination for the Portugal international given his previous spell at the 20-time English champions.

Real Madrid are thought to be willing to offload a couple of players this summer, including potentially one of their front three of Karim Benzema, Bale and Ronaldo.

Bale has regularly been linked with a return to the Premier League and Manchester United has always been rumoured to be interested in the Wales international.

And The Guardian’s Glendenning believes Bale will seal a move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window and line up for Jose Mourinho’s side on the opening day of the season.

“I am convinced Bale will be a Manchester United player next season,” Glendenning told the Football Weekly podcast.

Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season.

The Red Devils won the EFL Cup and the Europa League in Mourinho’s first season in charge.
