MANCHESTER UNITED have offered £25m to Burnley for star man Michael Keane.
That’s according to freelance journalist Jonathan Shrager.
He claimed Man United have slapped down the big offer and offered the defender £120,000-a-week.
Shrager wrote on Twitter: “Don’t know if it’ll materialise, but I have it on good authority that #MUFC have offered ca £25m for Michael Keane on a 120k weekly contract.”
Keane has been one of the stars of the season.
The 24-year-old has won his first England caps this term and helped Burnley stay up after promotion last term.
Jose Mourinho wants to draft him to add steel to his backline next season.
Keane fits the bill as a rugged centre-back used to English football.
He also knows United well after coming through the club’s academy.
Keane was flogged to Burnley on the cheap in January 2015.
And now the youth team pal of Paul Pogba is set to follow a similar path to the Frenchman and make an expensive return to Old Trafford.
