Man United agree personal terms to sign world-class No.10

MANCHESTER UNITED have agreed personal terms with James Rodriguez ahead of a summer transfer, according to reports.

Spanish outlet Don Balon claim the Colombian is ready to leave the Bernabeu for Old Trafford.

However, United and Real Madrid have yet to agree on a price with David De Gea proving the sticking point.

The goalkeeper is Zinedine Zidane’s top target this summer and Real are keen on a swap deal including Rodriguez.

The midfielder has not been first-choice in La Liga this season, making just 19 appearances.

United have been linked with a move for the 25-year-old in recent weeks.

Rodriguez moved to Real back in 2014 after impressing at the World Cup in Brazil.

Jose Mourinho will be desperate to keep hold of De Gea, who was once again named in the PFA Team of the Year.

The goalkeeper has kept 14 cleans sheets in the Premier League this season.

United return to action tonight when they travel to Celta Vigo in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final.
