Manchester United have turned down a £60m bid from Real Madrid for goalkeeper David De Gea, according to reports in the British media.
Sky Sports is reporting that the Red Devils have rebuffed an offer from the Spanish side for the shot-stopper, who they came so close to signing back in 2015.
The Spain international has long been linked with a move to the Bernabeu but his proposed move to the Spanish club fell through at the final hour two summers ago.
The Spanish giants are now said to have offered more than three times the fee from 2015 as they look to try and tempt the goalkeeper back to his native homeland this summer.
However, the report says that Manchester United were swift in their decision to reject the bid from the Spanish side.
Manchester United are preparing for a return to the Champions League next season after they won the Europa League in Jose Mourinho’s first campaign in charge at Old Trafford.
