MLS outfit LA Galaxy are the frontrunners to sign Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney in the coming months.
The 31-year-old was dropped for the Premier League win over Leicester City last month and has since been restricted to cameos off the bench.
Rooney did start in the clash with Fenerbahce last week, but an injury ruled him out of the 4-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday.
And it appears his future seems extremely bleak, with Jose Mourinho not guaranteeing the skipper regular starts in the coming months.
Ladbrokes now feel that Rooney could move to the MLS to join former England and Liverpool captain Gerrard at LA Galaxy, with the bookies offering odds of just 7/2.
“Mourinho is on the rampage following recent criticism and the odds suggest it won’t be long before Rooney swaps Carrington for California,” Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said.
However, Rooney could be keen to move to the ‘Big Apple’, with New York Red Bulls and New York City 4/1 and 5/1 respectively.
A return to Everton – the club he broke through at and announced himself on the big stage – is just 9/2, whilst a switch to non-league sides Salford City and FC United are both 14/1.
A surprise move to Arsenal is priced at 8/1, whilst China is also on the cards with Shanghai SIPG at 6/1 to snap up the England international.
