Manchester United are on the verge of signing French teenager Aliou Traore, according to reports in France
After leaving PSG in August 2016, Traore linked up with amateur side Sarcelles last term. According to Le Parisien, United invited the teenager to Carrington for an initial trial in February, with the French publication also noting that both Juventus and Manchester City had the player in their sights.
Reporting on the potential transfer, L’Equipe say Traore, who up until last season was on the books of Paris St Germain, is very close to joining Man United on a three-year deal.

Traore has made a few appearances for France’s U16s to date and as far as the links with United go, this is not the first time Traore’s name has cropped up. He has played for United on trial previously and scored in a 7-0 win over Burnley back in February 2017, so he’s clearly done enough to impress United’s coaches.
With Ricky Sbagria set to be appointed United’s new academy of director, Traore’s arrival would be the first talent he brings into the academy. Some of United’s recent signings to the academy from Europa have been successful such as Timothy Fosu-Mensah who arrived as a 16-year-old from Ajax, so here’s hoping Traore could follow the same path if, or by the sounds of it, when he completes his move to United.
