MANCHESTER UNITED are battling Manchester City for Swedish wonderkid Pavle Vagic, according to reports.
The Mirror claim United are keen to beat their arch-rivals for the 16-year-old’s signature.
The gifted young attacker is currently on the books of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s first club – Malmo.
Vaglic has an impressive record at youth level.
He’s racked up five goals in 13 appearances for the under-17 and under-16 Swedish sides and is regarded as a hot prospect.
And despite his youth, Malmo have already promoted him to their senior squad.
Manchester City have been tracking Vaglic’s progress for a while.
However, Manchester United look ready to infuriate their neighbours and pip City at the post.
Vaglic has snubbed a move to the blue half of the city once before.
His family rebuffed City’s advances when he was only 14-years-old.
He made history last month when he became the first year 2000-born player to be included in a Swedish Premier League squad.
