MANCHESTER UNITED have promised fans the club website will be the first place that officially announces any transfer deals.
Adidas wanted to confirm Paul Pogba had signed in the summer – as sponsor of both the club and the player.
But news that he’d signed was leaked by the club’s laundry ladies, who posed with Pogba in his Man United training kit.
The Red Devils then had to announce his capture in the early hours of the morning.
It’s not the first time the announcement of a move has caused a few problems.
Before the signing of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, boss Jose Mourinho was unaware of what he could and couldn’t say.
“I think the third player is official or not yet?” Mourinho said – before turning to his press officer who said “no”.
Mourinho then asked: “So the third player will be official, when?” to which the press officer replied “soon.”
Schneiderlin was captured driving into Everton’s facility this afternoon.
In a further clue that the deal is done, the 27-year-old has also begun following Everton on Twitter.
