MANCHESTER UNITED have made a stunning swoop for Ajax prodigy Millen Baars, according to reports.
The 16-year-old is capable of playing on either wing or as an attacking midfielder, and is highly rated by the Dutch giants.
Baars captained Ajax’s B team last season but is now heading to Old Trafford where he will link up with compatriots Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Daley Blind.
Ajax Show Time reports Baars has signed up with management giants Stellar Group, who represent the likes of Gareth Bale.
And he and his family are now looking for a home in Manchester as he prepares to link up with United’s U18s.
The report adds Baars will be able to play in official matches from January, and his capture shows Jose Mourinho is keen to continue his upheaval of club scouts and United’s youth system.
However, The Special One hasn’t been quite so fortunate with other youngsters recently after receiving two massive snubs.
Fran Villalba rejected overtures from Old Trafford as he signed a new Valencia deal instead, while Boca Juniors starlet Rodrigo Bentancur was snapped up by Serie A champions Juventus.
