Man Utd look to agree the transfer of 20-year-old versatile defender
According to reports, Leeds United have been handed a boost in their aims to sign Cameron Borthwick-Jackson from Manchester United this summer.
After breaking into the United first team during the 2015-16 season, Borthwick-Jackson failed to make a senior appearance for the Red Devils first team last season.
The Whites hope of signing the 20-year-old were boosted on Sunday when he was left out of the 27 man United squad that was named by Jose Mourinho for the clubs pre-season tour of the United States.
This means that it is very likely that United will be looking to listen to offers for the player on either a loan or sale.
Leeds are in need of new left back options after Charlie Taylor left the club to join Premier League outfit Burnley.
Considering that Borthwick-Jackson earned himself ten Premier League appearances during his breakthrough 2015-16 season with United, he does have promising ability and will be a good signing for the Whites.
