Man Utd Look to Hijack Liverpool’s Move For £40m South American No.11

Liverpool ‘s bid to sign Douglas Costa from Bayern Munich could be scuppered by Manchester United, according to reports

The Anfield club are among the interested parties chasing the Brazil forward after he endured a disappointing season in Germany.

But Inter Milan have joined the race as they bid to replace Ivan Perisic who appears bound for Old Trafford.

Bayern are holding out for £40million according to Sky Italia but that would pose few problems for Inter if they indeed sell Perisic to Jose Mourinho’s side.

The Croatian has reportedly told the Italian giants that he wants to move to United while other reports suggest he has already agreed a £100,000-a-week deal with the Europa League champions.

This would be bad news for Liverpool, who are already enduring a frustrating summer after struggling to get a deal over the line for Roma wide-man Mohamed Salah.

Jurgen Klopp would love an attacking player of Costa’s quality at Anfield, but could see United’s own transfer business get in the way of landing his top targets.
