Chris Smalling reckons Manchester United WILL finish in the top four this season
United are only two points adrift of the Champions League spaces in sixth but have not occupied them since September.
But Jose Mourinho’s men are unbeaten in 15 Premier League matches to boost hopes of playing in the premier continental cup for the first time since 2014.
No team in Europe’s top five divisions have as long a stretch of games without being defeated.
Centre-back Smalling is confident that their run without losing will keep on rolling and they can jump out-of-form Arsenal and Liverpool in the table.
Smalling said: “I think that’s our job to keep in there and keep climbing.
“We’ve had a few opportunities to be able to close that gap [on the top four] and this time we took our opportunity and played really well, so we need to build on this.
“Obviously, we’ve got a home game next so if we can get the three points we can really do some chasing.”
