AJAX legend Sjaak Swart believes the club’s current captain Davy Klaassen would excel at Manchester United.
Ajax are set to face United in the Europa League final later this month.
Dutch attacking midfielder Klaassen has been key to their success this season and is fast becoming a great for the legendary club.
Swart, who played close to 600 games for Ajax in his glittering career, reckons Klaassen could make a mega-money move this summer.
And he believes the 24-year-old would be perfect for Premier League giants United, Arsenal or Liverpool.
Swart said: “He can play for Arsenal and Liverpool. At this moment he would definitely succeed at Manchester United as well.
“So there are a lot of clubs suitable for Klaassen, also in Germany.
“Klaassen would only leave if he could go to a really good club because he has a real Ajax heart.
“I think [he would cost] somewhere between €20-25m [£17-21m].
“I [would like to] see Klaassen playing in England or Germany. Those are great countries where he can play.”
Klaassen has scored 17 goals in 50 appearances for club and country this season with Ajax still in contention to win the Eredivisie title.
He is currently under contract with the Amsterdam giants until June 2019.
