Manager given £100m to spend on three more signings for Man United

Jose Mourinho has more than £100 million to spend on three more signings for Manchester United, according to reports.

The United boss has already landed Victor Lindelof from Benfica and managed to beat Chelsea to Romelu Lukaku, who officially completed his move from Everton on Monday.

But The Sun claims that Mourinho still has plenty of his budget remaining for more transfers, despite having already spent £100m on just two players.

Inter winger Ivan Perisic is still wanted by Mourinho and although United have not yet met Inter’s €55m (£48.2m) asking price, their latest bid of €50m (£44m) is close to the Serie A club’s valuation.

United are also in the market for a new defensive midfielder and are hoping to strike a deal with Chelsea for Nemanja Matic.

Eric Dier has also been considered but Tottenham are resisting any offers for the England international.

Mourinho also wants to bring in one more defender, with United open to offers for Chris Smalling.
