Manchester United plot stunning big-money deal

JOSE MOURINHO is ready to cause chaos at Real Madrid by offering David de Gea a new mega contract, according to reports.

Spanish news outlet Don Balon say Mourinho won’t let his influential star leave Old Trafford without putting up a fight.

It’s suggested the Portuguese is willing to offer De Gea around £200,000-per-week in a last ditch attempt to retain his services.

Don Balon reckon that figure could be prohibitive for the Galacticos.

They say the La Liga heavyweights do not want to upset squad harmony by making De Gea a top earner.

De Gea is desperate to return to Spain and could accept a drop in salary.

However, if Manchester United formally table a monster deal it might be too good to turn down.

De Gea was on the cusp of a move to the Bernabeu in 2015.

But an administrative error meant the deal fell through on deadline day.
