Manchester United want to strike £17m deal… but rival club not happy with fee
MANCHESTER UNITED want £17m for Wayne Rooney – but Everton are only willing to offer £10m.
Rooney could head back to Goodison Park this summer.
The Daily Mail report Man United may sacrifice Rooney to get Romelu Lukaku.
Everton are demanding top dollar for the Belgian striker.
And United want to get the price down by throwing Rooney into the mix.
The only sticking point between the two clubs is the valuation of Rooney.
Man United want £17m for the £250,000-a-week frontman.
But Everton are reluctant to go above £10m for the 31-year-old.
The England captain is said to have accepted he’ll be leaving Old Trafford this summer and a return to his boyhood club could appeal.
He’s have to take a pay cut for the deal to go through.
