MANCHESTER UNITED could launch a late raid on the transfer market – if Ashley Young leaves the club.
The winger could quit Old Trafford before tomorrow’s 11pm deadline.
Jose Mourinho admits Young could leave – although he wants to keep him.
“The only player that I am aware of possibly leaving is Ashley Young, a player that I would love to keep,” Mourinho said after Man United’s 4-0 win over Wigan in the FA Cup.
“If I could choose, yes definitely, he will stay with us. We don’t have many players and in midfield we don’t have many options.”
And the Daily Mail report an exit for Young could see United pounce for a replacement.
Monaco midfield man Tiemoue Bakayoko has been watched and the Premier League giants could yet launch a late swoop.
Young has struggled for regular game-time this season and is wanted by clubs in China.
He could also stay in the Premier League though.
West Brom, Watford and West Ham have all shown interest in the England international.
