Things are finally starting to come together for Manchester United, but Jose Mourinho still doesn’t have all of the pieces in place as he looks to build a successful team at Old Trafford, however, so more activity is expected in upcoming transfer windows.
According to reports in the Daily Mirror, one potential summer signing could well be Danny Rose, though Manchester City are also thought to be interested in the Tottenham left-back.
Which of these three clubs are playing Champions League football next season could well determine the 26-year-old’s future, though Manchester United may be able to strengthen their bargaining position by allowing the £27m-man Luke Shaw to move in the opposite direction.
Over the course of their Premier League careers to date, there has been little to separate the two England internationals defensively, with minute per goal against averages of 71 and 72 respectively.
It has been a different story going forward, however, with Rose directly involved in 21 top-flight goals to Shaw’s two, thus suggesting that the Spurs full-back could add a new dimension to Jose Mourinho’s team.
