Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has broken his silence on reports linking him with Manchester United.
The Serbian has been heavily touted for a move to Old Trafford this summer despite the fact that Lazio value him at close to £100million.
Jose Mourinho had his scouts watch the 23-year-old on a number of occasions last term and United believe his relationship with compatriot Nemanja Matic could held take him to the Theatre of Dreams.
However, Milinkovic-Savic has dampened the chances of a move materialising in the next few weeks by admitting he will wait until after the World Cup to decide on his future.
‘I am trying to remain concentrated, even though every day I read something new about me,’said Milinkovic-Savic at a press conference.
‘Obviously, I feel pressure on me and know that I’ll have to live with this situation throughout the World Cup. It’s the same pressure as when I play for Lazio, so I am accustomed to it.
‘I will decide where to continue my career after the World Cup There’s a very good atmosphere among the squad and it feels like I’ve been here for years. I can’t wait to start the tournament.’
United have already completed a deal for Portuguese full-back Diogo Dalat and have reached an agreement to sign Brazilian star Fred. However, Mourinho wants another midfielder with Marouane Fellaini set to leave the club when his contract expires.
