Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly eager to seal the transfer of Torino striker Andrea Belotti this summer
The Italy international has shone in Serie A this season, and looks an ideal fit for a United side who’d struggled for goals and been overly reliant on a 35-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic in that department.
Torino are understandably keen to keep hold of their star player, who has a release clause of £85million in his contract, though United hope they can get that fee down.
According to the Independent, the Red Devils are already working on a move for the prolific 23-year-old as one of their priority targets, along with Burnley defender Michael Keane, plus Griezmann, whom they are confident of landing.
Belotti’s superb form has also seen him linked with the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window, with his 27 goals in all competitions showing his tremendous potential.
United, meanwhile, were the lowest scorers in the Premier League top seven, and drew an incredible 15 games due to being unable to finish the large amount of chances created, particularly at home.
The club supposedly rate their chances of signing Belotti at 50-50, with Mourinho keen to send a message with some aggressive spending and speedy deals early on in the upcoming transfer window.
