ATLETICO MADRID have ruled out Antoine Griezmann leaving Atletico Madrid to join Real Madrid, according to reports.
Griezmann is likely to be the hottest transfer target this summer.
Manchester United are keen to bring the France international to the Premier League and are willing to match his release clause of £86million.
Some of Europe’s elite clubs such as Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have also reportedly shown an interest in signing Griezmann in the summer transfer window.
But Spanish newspaper Don Balon say Atletico Madrid are reluctant to sell their star forward to their arch-rivals.
The report claims that if Los Blancos do make an offer for Griezmann then Atletico will look to replace him with Real star Alvaro Morata.
It will come as good news to United who are the odds-on favourites to sign the 25-year-old.
Theo Griezmann first tweeted in response to an interview from Memphis Depay after his first match for Lyon.
He said: “Sorry Memphis I think Old Trafford is better!”
And two days later he tweeted an aerial shot of United’s stadium with no accompanying caption to send fans into meltdown.
