Premier League Giant Ready to Sign Major Manchester United Flop

MANCHESTER CITY are reportedly plotting a shock raid for Victor Valdes.

ESPN claim Pep Guardiola is keen to snap up the veteran Middlesbrough star.

The experienced goalkeeper has suffered a torrid time in the Premier League.

Former Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal brought him to Old Trafford in 2014 as Valdes recovered from a major knee injury.

But the 35-year-old had a row with the Dutchman after refusing to play in a reserve fixture and was placed on the transfer list in July 2015.

Following a loan stint at Standard Liege, Boro secured his services last summer.

But his spell at the Riverside hasn’t gone to plan either.

Boro have had a underwhelming campaign and were sent crashing back into the second tier earlier this week.

City look set to rejig their goalkeeping options this summer.

Claudio Bravo has failed to convince following his transfer from Barcelona.

And England international Joe hart will be sold permanently having spent the season on loan at Torino.
