ASHLEY YOUNG is reportedly keen to leave Manchester United on loan this month.
The 31-year-old has made 150 appearances since joining the Red Devils from Aston Villa in 2011.
But he’s been restricted to just two Premier League starts this term – the last of which came in November.
A host of top-flight clubs have been linked with January moves for the winger.
While Young has attracted interest from Chinese Super League outfit Shandong Luneng too.
And it seems he could be on his way with the Daily Mail claimed he has asked to go out on loan.
Whether his request to Jose Mourinho will be heeded though may depend on the gaffer’s Europa League plans.
Manchester United are facing a pair of last-32 ties against Saint-Etienne.
And Mourinho may wish to keep the versatile Young at Old Trafford if he decides to rotate his team.
Manchester United are currently fifth in the Premier League, four points behind fourth-placed Liverpool.
And Mourinho will hope to limit the effects of a Thursday-Sunday schedule on his bid to secure Champions League qualification.
