Real Madrid consider shock Man Utd raid

REAL MADRID have nine strikers on their summer shortlist – including Manchester United ace Marcus Rashford.

The La Liga giants are keen to add firepower up front this summer, with Madrid planning for life beyond Cristiano Ronaldo.

Their regular front three including Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale, forming the ‘BBC’, could be getting a shake up.

Alvaro Morata’s future is also in doubt amid interest from Chelsea, and alternatives are being identified.

Young Monaco hitman Kylian Mbappe is very much on Zinedine Zidane’s agenda, but his price-tag is proving an obstacle.

Madrid would have to break the world-record to sign the 18-year-old, although according to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, the Frenchman has Ronaldo’s approval.

Along with Mbappe, the Bernabeu superstar also supports a move for Porto’s Andre Silva.

But Madrid apparently have seven other options in the pipeline.

Perez will not make any final decisions without taking Zidane’s preferences into account, and Ronaldo also wants to outline his opinions.

Diario Gol add Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford is another shock name on Madrid’s radar.

The 19-year-old England international quickly rose up through the ranks at Old Trafford, but game time has been limited under Jose Mourinho.

Marcus Rashford has only started 11 Premier League games this season due to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Anthony Martial’s presence, scoring just three times.

However, his performances at United and potential has attracted the attention of Madrid staff, meaning they are keeping tabs on the Red Devils forward among others.

Accompanying Mbappe, Silva and Rashford on the nine-man list, Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ousmane Dembele and Celtic’s Moussa Dembele are being watched.

There is a young theme to Madrid’s striker targets, with Ajax’s Kasper Dolberg, RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner and Torino’s Andrea Belotti also potential candidates.
