Chelsea are reportedly yet to agree a deal for Tiemoue Bakayoko, with the midfielder still open to a Manchester United move.
After helping Monaco to their incredible title triumph in Ligue 1 this term, Bakayoko has seemingly caught the attention of clubs across Europe.
Physically imposing and with the technical ability to cope in Leonardo Jardim’s fluid attacking play, the 22-year-old is widely seen as an excellent fit for the Premier League.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Chelsea are currently holding talks with Bakayoko, but no transfer has been agreed.
The report claims that the Red Devils’ Champions League qualification means the 22-year-old is attracted to Old Trafford, and the presence of good friend Anthony Martial could prove beneficial.
The £52m-rated France international is ‘interested’ in joining United, the source suggests, though both Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte are pulls.
Win rate in duels – Monaco’s No.14 won 55% of his duels in Ligue 1, which was superior to every United midfielder.
Pass accuracy – His ball-playing prowess ranked above Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini, but slightly below Ander Herrera and Michael Carrick, at an 87% accuracy.
Interceptions – Again placing Bakayoko in between the attack-minded duo and deeper-lying pair, respectively, he averaged 2.2 interceptions per 90 minutes.
