Tottenham striker Harry Kane has reportedly been left far from impressed with the club’s latest contract offer as concern grows over his future.
The £45m-rated hitman, is contracted to Spurs until 2020 and currently earns £60,000-a-week according to The Sun, who claim that the two parties are a long way from reaching a new agreement.
The report claims Kane wants to earn similar to England teammates Jamie Vardy and Daniel Sturridge, who receive weekly salaries of £120,000 and £130,000, respectively.
But Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is reluctant to break the club’s strict wage structure and sanction a six-figure salary with discussions now being delayed until the end of the season.
The Mirror reports that the Red Devils are considering long-term striker options and has seen an opportunity because of growing frustrations between Kane and Tottenham.
Jose Mourinho is a fan of Kane and sees him as a long-term successor to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is currently set to leave Old Trafford in the summer but has the option to extend for an additional year.
