Manchester United have completed a move for the French prospect, Aliou Badara Traore, according to Goal. The left-winger, who turns seventeen in January, has put pen to paper on a four-year deal at the Theatre of Dreams – keeping him at the club until 2021.
The report adds that Juventus were in the hunt to sign the former Paris Saint-Germain, which tells you all you need to know about the calibre of player young Traore is.
He’s a French U16 international, and it is thought that he left PSG in order of getting game-time elsewhere. He was a short-term free agent, and now the Red Devils have snapped him up.
I guess you never really know what you’re going to get when deals like these are completed. They are always huge gambles, but ones that sides like United are willing to take; particularly when you factor in their rich history of developing young talents.
It is nice to see Jose Mourinho willing to bring in youngsters, and although they won’t have a direct impact on the first-team, perhaps in the future they may do.
Now we’re just waiting for official confirmation from the club, and United will have secured their second deal for a youngster, following the arrival of Ethan Galbraith.
