Rio Ferdinand has admitted that he has been impressed by what he has seen from reported Manchester United transfer target Kylian Mbappe.
The Monaco starlet has been touted as a possible summer transfer target for Jose Mourinho as the Portuguese coach considers bolstering his squad ahead of next season.
Mbappe is widely considered to be one of European football’s brightest young attacking talents, with the 18-year-old having scored 22 goals and made five assists in all competitions for Monaco so far this season.
And Manchester United legend Ferdinand has revealed that he is a big admirer of the Monaco youngster.
Speaking on BT Sport on Wednesday night, Ferdinand said: “He’s just 18 years old and he’s cool, calm, cold in front of goal.
“He made his goal look so simple, to caress it in the corner like he did.
“This guy has got a huge talent, the amount of goals he’s got this season. Confidence, willingness to run and take people on…
“I think playing off Falcao’s experience is a great learning curve.”
Manchester United are currently gearing up for their Premier League trip to Burnley on Sunday afternoon as they look to get their bid to finish in the top four back on track.
The Red Devils finished fifth last season and are currently fifth in the top-fight table.
