Guillem Balague has revealed that Manchester United are likely to target Antoine Griezmann in the summer transfer window because Gareth Bale is not for sale.
The speculation linking Manchester United with some of Europe’s top players is likely to gather pace in the next few weeks and months as the summer transfer window draws ever nearer.
The Red Devils are thought to be keeping tabs on Atletico Madrid star Griezmann as Jose Mourinho ponders bolstering his attacking options at Old Trafford ahead of his second season in charge.
Bale has also been touted as a possible target for the Red Devils in the past but a move to Old Trafford has not materialised.
Now, Spanish football expert Balague has revealed that Bale is not for sale by Real Madrid and that Manchester United are looking at other options for the summer, including France star Griezmann.
Asked if Manchester United could target Bale this summer, Balague told Sky Sports: “Manchester United are looking for different targets, Antoine Griezmann being one, because Bale is going to stay at Real Madrid.”
The “Welsh Express” moved at Santiago Bernabeu in 2013 from Tottenham for reported fee of £85.3m and helped the Royal club winning the Champions League twice.
