Anthony Martial is reportedly set to stay at Manchester United after agreeing a 12-month let on a house in Hale, Cheshire.
Jose Mourinho told United they can sell Martial this summer as the manager does not believe the Frenchman has what it takes to excel under his guidance. But, United are reluctant to part with one of their prized assets, believing Martial still has a bright future at the club.
Martial has been keen on a exit for much of the summer, but the Mirror claim the attacker will spend the next 12 months in Manchester.
Speculation surrounding the 22-year-old increased when it emerged Martial’s current let ended this summer, but the France international has now found new living arrangements.
The European transfer window remains open, but United will not allow Martial depart despite his wish to play more regularly.
Martial saw his relationship with Jose Mourinho hit new lows this summer when he left United’s US pre-season tour to meet his newborn baby girl. Mourinho subsequently fined Martial for going AWOL and not training during the time he spent away from the squad.
Martial played for the first time this season in the defeat to Brighton last week, managing 60 minutes.
