Manchester United have reportedly identified Championship outfits Reading attacker Danny Loader as a potential January signing.
During the closing days of the summer transfer window, Nuno Espasito’s side Wolverhampton Wanderers were on the verge of finalising a deal for the starlet, only for Reading to change their stance regarding the player’s future.
However, the 20-year-old stays with less than a year left on his current deal, leaving open the possibility of an exit from the Madejski team in 2020.
According to Sky Sports News, The Red Devils are considering whether to take advantage of being able to secure the services of the Englishman for a cut-price fee.
While the report does not state whether Loader would be allowed to end the season with the Royals, he is unlikely to make an immediate impression in the Red Devils first team.
Loader has been provided with just 101 minutes in the Championship this campaign.
Meanwhile, Manchester United will reportedly be ‘turned away’ by newly promoted Premier League team Aston Villa if they make an attempt to secure the services of Scotland midfielder John McGinn this winter.
The 20-times English champions are believed to view the 25-year-old as a potential siging having been impressed by his form in the English top-tier during the 2019-20 season.
Sir Alex Ferguson is believed to be a huge fan of the ex-Hibernian midfielder’s talents, with the Reds legendary boss allegedly urged his former team to make a move for the 25-year-old midfield maestro.
