Inter Milan have reportedly struck an agreement with Manchester United to bring unwanted defender Matteo Darmian to the San Siro on a free transfer.
The Italian, who joined United in 2014, has only made 14 Premier League appearances over the last two campaigns at Old Trafford.
Darmian was not in the squad for United’s 4-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday and has not played any part in the club’s pre-season.
According to Rai Sport, Inter have given Darmian a way out of Old Trafford after securing an agreement with United to take the defender on a free transfer once his contract expires next summer.
The Serie A side have already negotiated a deal to sign Romelu Lukaku from United in this window, with the striker joining for a club-record £73m.
Juventus have also been linked with signing Darmian, while Barcelona were also credited with showing an interest in the 29-year-old.
Meanwhile, AS Roma have reportedly held talks with Manchester United over a possible loan move for forward Alexis Sanchez.
The 30-year-old only returned to training last week following his involvement in the Copa America with Chile over the summer.
Sanchez has failed to nail down a regular first team place since his arrival at Old Trafford in January 2018 and has scored just three Premier League goals for the Red Devils.
As per the same sources, Roma have been offered the opportunity to take the player on a season-long loan. However, United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer played down claims that the attacker may leave the club.
